Founded in 1981 by Mario Grenier, Pyromaitre was founded as a part-time one-man niche business building enameling kilns for art studios. This initial endeavor expanded first to systems for paint and varnish curing, then to ovens for the stress relieving of springs, and eventually to the tempering of hardened parts. Pyromaitre's current development emphasis is on turn-key system solutions for the warm setting of springs.
Pyromaitre established it's market position with the development and commercialization of the high-speed stress relieving process. Approved in 1997 by GM for valve springs, the "Pyro Process" is the acknowledged industry standard for precision automotive springs.
The "Pyro Process" was successfully expanded to tempering applications and approved in 1999 by Ford for CV Joints, Axle Shafts, and Transmission Gears. The acceleration in acceptance of high-speed tempering continues to define our growth.
Today, Pyromaitre is a global manufacturer of high-precision industrial ovens for tempering, stress relieving, hot setting, warm forming, and paint curing. Our unique designs and process expertise has driven our growth into one of the premier global manufacturers of thermal processing equipment.
